Web Application Developer (RoR)

Job Summary

Draker Laboratories is a leading provider of instrumentation and web services for the renewable energy industry. We are seeking a highly talented web application developer to join our agile development team. This is a non-remote, full-time position located in Burlington, Vermont.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test and deploy production-ready applications and scripts with Ruby and Ruby on Rails.
Support and maintenance of existing in-house application, client web apps, and new application development.

Qualifications—Education and/or Experience

Experience with developing high-volume websites using RoR
Minimum of 2 years of Ruby on Rails development
Advanced (preferably expert) skill level with MySQL
Solid skills in technologies such as Git, Subversion, Apache, Passenger
Strong understanding of server-side software, scalability, performance and reliability aspects
Experience with cross-browser semantic HTML and CSS, up to date with HTML 5 and CSS 3
Experience using jQuery and jQuery UI to create rich user interfaces with JavaScript
Ability to work in a test-driven, collaborative, and iterative programming environment
